This British Standard is the UK implementation of EN 60794-1-1:2016. It is identical to IEC 60794-1-1:2015. It supersedes BS EN 60794-1-1:2011 which is withdrawn.
BS EN 60794-1-1:2016标准引用EN60794-1-1:2016标准。BS EN 60794-1-1:2016等同于IEC60794-1-1:2015. 已取代BS EN 60794-1-1:2011。 

EN 60794-1-1:2016标准适用范围
This part of IEC60794 applies to optical fibre cables for use with communication equipment and devices employing similar techniques and to cables having a combination of both optical fibres and electrical conductors.
The object of this standard is to establish uniform generic requirements for the geometrical, transmission, material, mechanical, ageing (environmental exposure), climatic and electrical properties of optical fibre cable elements, where appropriate.

EN 60794-1-1适用光缆类型
Optical fibre cables, containing optical fibres and possibly electrical conductors, consist of the following types:
-indoor cables
-patch cords
-premises cabling
-cables for installation in ducts and lashed aerial cables;
-cables for direct burial
-cables for installation in tunnels
-aerial cables
-drop cables
-underwater cables for lakes, river crossings and coastal application
-microduct cabling
-cables for utility rights of way such as sewers, gas pipes and water pipes
-overhead cables(power lines)
-optical cables for rapid/multiple deployment
-other optical fibre cable types not listed above
